don't you hate it when people don't think you can actually do something?

today we had to sell raffel tickets for the fall play, i sold 10 to one person within an hour

and i felt really really proud.

instead of telling me WELL DONE LAUREN.

my teacher said

'HEY GUYS THE AUSTRALIAN GIRL WHO DOESN'T EVEN GO HERE SOLD TICKETS'.

this made me happy.. until he turned to me and said

'YOU KNOW YOU ONLY SOLD THEM BECAUSE THAT GUY THOUGHT YOU WERE CUTE, RIGHT?'

now that can either be taken as a compliment, hey i'm cute.

or it says,

hey lauren your retarded and can't actually do anything people just think you're cute.

well gee thanks.. i'll keep it in mind, that i'm retarded.

now this is not just a one time thing.

this year in science i did really well in chemistry and thought i was incredible, feeling really proud and told mom i got 100% in a chemistry test, she said

'IT WAS JUST A FLUKE, YOU CAN'T DO SCIENCE'.

way to make me feel special mom.

um isn't your mom supposed to be the person who tells you how incredible you are?

i have such a supportive mom..
