Ever heard of Eva Ionesco?
Well basically she is the daughter of famous french photographer, Irina Ionesco, and through her mothers controversial photographs she became insanely famous. Her mother used her as her muse for her photography, and at the age of 5 Eva was taking sultry, nude photographs for her mothers work. At age 11 Eva became the youngest ever nude model for playboy magazine, and penthouse magazine. She starred in 'soft-porn' films, and became one of France's best known child actors. She has since been in over 50 more films. I don't know if i should feel bad for her, or if she actually liked doing it and I should be interested...
Here are some of the photographs of her, both her mother and the magazines took these, ranging from age 5 to around 13.

You're on the right track. You and I both want to evaluate these photos based on what the model herself thinks, rather than a knee-jerk emotional reaction.
Eva approved of the reprinting of some of her nude photos by Alice Press in 2004. From what I've read, Eva had no problem showing her body to cameras but, on the other hand, had other ambitions for her life that became more important and only posed nude a few more times after the age of 12.
I have read accounts by other nude child and pubescent models who posed for photographers like Sally Mann, Frank Cordelle, Bill Henson, and Robert Mapplethorpe and most of them expressed positive sentiments.
What's harmful is when busybodies start attacking the girls and calling their pictures "indecent". There should be no law against mere nudity in photographs as that does not constitute abuse in itself.
