Try not to Choke.

The other night I was watching 30 Rock and the episode was about a single person choking to death in their apartment, not being saved as they were single and not being found for at least a week because they had no one to check on them. There was a similar storyline in one of the Sex and the City's episodes too. Is it because this regularly happens? Is it common to die this way? All I can think about now is that I hope I don't die this way.
